R Duck – USA

R Duck is a Northern California-based artist and radio host, known for his engaging performances and captivating radio programs in the Bay Area. When not on air, he roams the countryside, seeking out unique sound and vision sculptures while enjoying thoughtfully crafted, sensible meal plans.

Like being the Walmart greeter for live improvised electronic music sculptures.

The music is a cooperation between man and machine in order to sculpt organic, improvised electronic music. The show nods its head toward old time variety shows and modern radio -life in the day- spoken dry as the coastal sands at low tide. Listen for live improvised electronic music drama, performed using a rotating variety of multi-effect sound processors, a studio microphone and a pickens of conventional and unconventional acoustic instruments. R Duck’s compositions are a unique blend of sound sculpture and artistic expression, spiraling into the uncharted clouds of guitar, hardware, software, and modular synthesizers.

His most recent radio project is Sound Wheels. R Duck records and produces this weekly radio journey live in the basement studios of KZSU. It’s an exploration of chaos and unity, where structure is carved to create sonic sculpture.
