A note from our CEO
For 17 years we have brought the world of live looping music to you every fall at the main Y2K International Live Looping Festival held in Santa Cruz, CA and at its satellite festival in San Jose, CA. This festival has also directly inspired the creation of satellite Y2K Looping festivals in 57 cities in 21 countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas; festivals that feature an incredible variety of artists from all over the world. Many musical tech innovations in audio and video have come from this international community as well. And now we need your help to make it even better.
We have ambitions of bringing even more international talent, renting great venues, getting professional gear for the best audio fidelity, and doing proper advertising and ticketing. Hard work and volunteer hours are all that has fueled this festival over the past two decades. We want to be able to support the musicians, compensate our staff, and make everything about the festival bigger.
In 2017, the festival incorporated as a 501(3)c non-profit organization. This has brought expanded possibilities as well as additional responsibilities. We feel this is the right direction to preserve the art of live music and our mission to attract talent from across the globe. Your donations will be the vehicle that makes this possible.
Your financial support means so much to us. We couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and we hope you will join us in carrying it forward.
Sincerely,
Rick Walker, CEO
