Max Scott Bortnick is a Santa Cruz-born multi-instrumentalist whose music reflects a deep connection to the diverse influences that shaped him. Growing up immersed in punk rock, Hip Hop and reggae, Max developed a love for guitar and drums, playing in bands and creating energetic, raw sounds. Over time, his musical journey evolved to include keyboards, synthesizers, and rapping, expanding his sonic palette into hip-hop, experimental, and beyond.  

Max brings together live looping and his wide range of influences to craft a cohesive sound. creating immersive, genre-defying compositions. Whether it’s the gritty riff of a guitar, the deep groove of a bassline, or the spacey textures of a synth.     Max is also a member of the Max Scott Band, where he continues to explore new musical dimensions, blending rock, reggae, and hip-hop into his evolving sound.
