Interactive live looping influenced by music therapy, world music, and classical music featuring flute, strings, voice, and percussion
Raised on Pink Floyd and old Baptist hymns, Alison Hughey has been surrounded by music all her life. Learning to play flute in middle school ‘hooked’ her into music, leading her to study flute performance at Converse University. After a back injury and months of chronic pain, Alison leaned on music to cope and heal, with the help of an amazing physical therapist and a chance meeting with a music therapy student. This inspired her to return to school and complete her studies in music therapy.
After a decade working in clinical settings and performing on the side, Alison began facilitating edutainment and experiential wellness music groups. Learning to loop has opened new paths for bringing people together through their mutual friend, Music.
